Xtra Time Web Desk: Legendary singer and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 on Sunday, 6 February at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after battling with COVID pneumonia for several weeks.

The cricket fraternity has paid rich tributes to the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Former Team India captain Virat Kohli Mangeshkar's melodious voice touched millions of people around the world.

Dr Pratit Samdani, who was treating the legendary singer at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, said, "It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of Lata Mangeshkar at 8:12 am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalisation post Covid-19."

The last rites of the late singer, with full State honours will be conducted at Shivaji Park at 6.30pm today. PM Modi is slated to visit Mumbai to pay his last respects to Lata Mangeshkar.
