Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian women team will play historic first Day Night Test match against Australia women later this year Down Under. Cricket Australia on Thursday announced a full-fledged series between India and Australia which will feature one Test (D/N), 3 ODIs and T20Is in September-October.

“The historic Test match will be the first between the Australian and Indian women’s teams in 15 years, and the series will mark the first time the two sides have met since the record-breaking T20 World Cup final at the MCG in 2020!” said Cricket Australia in a tweet post.

Confirming the news, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah tweeted, Taking forward our commitment towards women’s cricket, I am extremely pleased to announce that Team India @BCCIwomen will play in their first-ever pink ball day-night Test later this year in Australia.”

The tour will start with the three match ODI series with the first ODI on September 19 at North Sydney. The next two ODIs will be played at Junction Oval on September 22 & 24 respectively. Mithali Raj and her team will take on Australia women in their first ever Day Night test match at the WACA starting from September 30 to October 03. The three T20 matches will be played at the North Sydney Oval on October 07, 09 & 11 respectively.
