India vs SL : Ruturaj Gaikwad ruled out of the T20I series due to injury; Mayank Agarwal added as a backup
Xtra Time Web Desk : Team India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad on Friday was ruled out of the ongoing 3 match T20I series against Sri Lanka due to an injury.
Star Punjab Kings opener Mayank Agarwal was added as a backup to the team in place of the 24 year old Chennai Super Kings batter.
The in form Ruturaj, who is also the current IPL orange cap holder was waiting to pounce on an opportunity to play for the Men in Blue, after missing out on the first match.
But an unfortunate injury has now added him to the long list of absentees for this series which includes cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Deepak Chahar, Suryakumar Yadav, Shardul Thakur and many more.
