India vs England: Virat Kohli, Ben Stokes involved in heated exchange, umpires forced to intervene
Xtra Time Web Desk: India captain Virat Kohli and England all rounder Ben Stokes were involved in a heated conversation during the first day of the fourth test match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday. The incident happen when Kohli seemed upset with something which was said by Stokes. The English cricketer said something to Siraj after he bowled a bouncer at Stokes which did not go down well with the Indian captain.
Kohli immediately rushed at Stokes and the two were involved in a heated exchange. Seeing the situation go out of hand, the on field umpire had to intervene.
Earlier in the day England captain Joe Root won the toss and decided to bat first. The visitors were in trouble as they lost three wickets for 30 runs on the scoreboard. Stokes and Bairstow batted sensibly to add 48 runs before the Yorkshire cricketer was trapped leg before by Siraj. Stokes was joined by Ollie Pope and the duo added another 43 runs before Stokes was trapped in front of the stumps by Washington Sundar. The all rounder scored 55 runs from 121 balls which included 6 fours and two sixes.
During the third Test, Kohli had engaged in a hilarious banter with Stokes as well, when the England player stopped mid-way through his batting stride due to disturbance in the sight screen.
India is leading the four Test series 2-1 and only need a draw to secure a place in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand at Lords.

On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment
