Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India had some good news ahead of the first test against Australia as star all rounder Ravindra Jadeja is on course to recovering fully from concussion and hamstring injury that he suffered during the first T20I at Canberra. The left hander was forced to miss the final two T20Is following the injury to his head after a bouncer from Mitchell Starc hit him.

On Tuesday he was at the Adelaide Oval with the Indian test squad and even seen at the net practice area. He later joined Kuldeep Yadav and team’s bowling coach Bharat Arun who celebrated their birthdays. Jadeja turned 32 on December 6 while Kuldeep and Bharat Arun both had their birthdays on December 14. Kuldeep turned 26 while Arun turned 58. The trio cut three separate cakes with the rest of the players and support staff cheering them on by singing the birthday song.

“Multiple birthdays call for a bigger celebration. @imjadeja is back with #TeamIndia and his cake was cut today along with @imkuldeep18 and Bowling Coach B. Arun,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted on social media along with a video of the celebrations.

Jadeja’s return will be a big boost for the Test squad even though he might not play the series-opener in Adelaide on December 17. India have 3 spin options to chose from – Jadeja, Kuldeep and Ravichandran Ashwin. All three of them were seen bowling in tandem at the nets in Adelaide Oval against Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw.
