India tour to England: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane join bio-bubble in Mumbai
Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian captain Virat Kohli along with test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur joined the bio-bubble in Mumbai on Monday ahead of the team’s departure to England on June 02. Also joining the bubble was Head Coach Ravi Shastri. Bengal wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha and Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna too joined the bubble after recovering from COVID-19.
All the members of the men’s and women’s team will undergo a strict quarantine in Mumbai hotel before they leave for UK on June 2. Both the men’s and women’s team will be travelling in the same chartered flight. The men’s team will be travelling straight to Southampton from London Heathrow airport where they will quarantine for another 10 days. But the good thing is they will be allowed to train after first three days of hard quarantine
The women players will be travelling to Bristol directly from London. The one off test match against England women starts at Bristol from June 16.
