Xtra Time Web Desk: India captain Virat Kohli along with test vice captain Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur started their training inside their hotel rooms from Tuesday. All the Mumbai based cricketers entered the bubble on Monday. They will join the remaining group only after finishing their seven days quarantine.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has made all the necessary arrangements for the Mumbai based cricketers who joined the bubble on Monday. The hotel authorities have made all the arrangements so that they can workout in their rooms while completing the 7-day quarantine period.

“Kohli and the rest of the members who entered the bubble on Monday will not straightaway mix with those who are already in the bubble. They will do a 7-day quarantine and then join the group before leaving for England. Till then, they will have all the necessary facilities in their rooms only,” a source said to ANI.

Considering skipper Kohli loves working out, arrangements have also been made for the players to train in their rooms. “Arrangements have been made so that they can train in the room. Cycles, dumbbells, bars have all been arranged for in the rooms so that they doesn’t need to walk out and can stay in shape,” the source explained.

Asked about the COVID-19 testing plans for the Mumbai boys, the source said: “They will undergo tests every day. We don’t wish to keep anything to chance.”

Both the men and women squads will depart Mumbai for London on June 02 in a chartered flight. They have to undergo 10 days quarantine on reaching UK. But the good thing is they will be allowed to train inside the bubble after the first three days of hard quarantine.
