India Tour of England: Rohit & Co to play 4-day warm-up game against Leicestershire on June 24

Xtra Time Web Desk: Rohit Sharma led Indian test squad will be playing a four day warm up game against Leicestershire from June 24-27. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has granted BCCI’s request to arrange a warm up game ahead of the test match at Edgbaston starting July 01.

As per a report in Cricbuzz, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid arranged the warm-up match in coordination with the BCCI and the selection committee. While the ECB had confirmed two warm-up matches for the white-ball squad, it did not confirm whether the four days warm up game will get first class status or not.

India will play two simultaneous matches in Ireland and England during the tour. While the white-ball squad will be playing Ireland in two T20Is (June 26 and 28), the red-ball team under Rohit Sharma will be in England to play the test match.
