Xtra Time Web Desk: Virat Kohli & his boys received a huge relief ahead of travelling to England next month. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has successfully managed to negotiate relaxation to travel restrictions in UK. The UK Border authorities have agreed to allow the Indian cricket team to the country. As per UK government rules, people with travel history to India are not be allowed entry due to surging COVID-19 cases. Now that the official confirmation has arrived, Kohli & his team will travel to London on June 02. The Indian cricketers will head straight to the Hilton hotel in Southampton from Heathrow airport where they will quarantine themselves.

The ICC WTC Final between India and New Zealand will take place at the Ageas Bowl from June 18

The Indian cricketers will begin assembling in Mumbai by May 19 and will be put in a bio-bubble from May 24 before leaving for the UK on June 2. For Mumbai-based cricketers, they will be able to join the team bubble on May 24 directly.

To facilitate safe passage for cricketers, BCCI has arranged charter flights from Hyderabad, Delhi and Chennai. For cricketers who live in Bengaluru have been instructed to drive to Chennai and take the flight.
