Xtra Time Web Desk: Good news for the Indian men and women teams ahead of travelling to England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has successfully negotiated with ECB to allow the cricketers to train after first three days of quarantine in England. The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has relaxed their COVID-19 protocols for both Indian men and women teams. As per the strict health protocols, anyone travelling to UK need to hard quarantine for 10 days in hotel.

The men’s team will head straight to Southampton from Heathrow airport where they will hard quarantine for three days at Hilton hotel. The women cricketers will head to Bristol where they will stay in hotel quarantine ahead of the one off test which starts from June 16

BCCI is yet to obtain the necessary permission from ECB for the cricketer’s families. The Indian cricket board has requested ECB to consider same norms for the player’s families.

Meanwhile most of the squad members (both men and women) have entered the bio bubble in Mumbai. Only the cricketers based in Mumbai will be joining the bubble directly on May 24.
