Xtra Time Web Desk: India’s Ravi Kumar Dahiya lost the men’s freestyle 57Kg final to Zavur Uguev of Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) at Tokyo Olympics on Thursday. The wrestler from Chhatrasal had to settle for silver. This is the second silver for India at Tokyo Olympics after Mirabai Chanu won silver in boxing on Day 1.

Ravi Kumar did put up a fight by was always chasing to keep pace with the Russian wrestler. The first period ended 4-2 in favour of the reigning world champion. The second period was no different as despite Ravi Kumar’s valiant effort to gain an upperhand, Uguev prevailed, winning the bout 7-4.

Zavur Uguev, who was the World champion in 2019 and World cup winner last year has now got a Olympics gold.
