Xtra Time Web Desk: India defeated West Indies by 17 runs in the third T20I at Eden Gardens in Kolkata to register a 3-0 series whitewash. With this India extended it's winning streak in T20I cricket to nine matches.

Chasing a target of 185, West Indies were restricted to a total of 167 for 7, despite Nicholas Pooran's 47-ball 61. For India, Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel, Venkatesh Iyer and Deepak Chahar took two wickets each.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav scored a fine 31-ball 65 as India managed to post a total of 184 for five. Suryakumar and Venkatesh Iyer (35* off 19) added 91 runs for the fifth wicket after West Indies had pegged back India with quick blows. Rohit Sharma came to bat lower down the order but failed to get amongst the runs.
