IND vs SA: Bumrah surpassed former Pakistan Cricketer Mohammad Amir in Day 4 of the Test Series

Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Rassie van der Dussen and Keshav Maharaj on Day 4 of boxing match day, setting an elusive world record in Test cricket, in the second innings of the first Test against South Africa in Centurion. The 28 year old bowler, surpassed Mohammad Amir on Day 4 of boxing match, and joined Kapil Dev in the elusive list, setting a unique world record.

After knocking out van der Dussen, Bumrah picked his 100th wicket, becoming the sixth Indian pacer of Team India, adding himself to the elusive lists of Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Javagal Srinath.

Bumrah has the world record who has fewest test wickets to 100 dismissals away from home. The Indian pacer had picked 101 wickets outside India, in 25 matches at 20.68, at a strike rate of 47.6, his career tally stood at 105.

Seeing Bumrah’s breakthroughs, batting couch Vikram Rathore said, “That’s the quality of the bowler, he really set him up well” referring to the bowler, which made the batsman in doubt whether to play or leave the ball.

Witnessing the final delivery which knocked out Maharaj, Rathore said, “That’s what you expect from somebody like him. But all of us bowled really well. They were bowling really good lines.”
