Xtra Time Web Desk: England’s star all rounder Ben Stokes, pace spearhead Jofra Archer and opening batsman Rory Burns will be arriving in Chennai on Sunday to play the upcoming series against India. The three cricketers will be quarantining themselves at the hotel before joining the remaining squad on January 27. Most of the England test players are busy playing the ongoing second test against Sri Lanka at Galle. They will arrive in India on January 27.

Stokes , Archer and Burns were rested for the Sri Lanka series, as part of their workload management during COVID times and keeping in mind the bubble fatigue. Opener Rory Burns opted out of the Sri Lanka series for the birth of his child.  

Ben Stokes shared a picture of him before flying to India and tweeted, “See you soon India.

England will play four Tests against India starting February 5, with first two matches to be played in Chennai and the remaining two will be played at the newly renovated Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, with the third one being Day Night Test.
