Xtra Time Web Desk: It is exactly after 58 days and 73 matches the summit clash between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Both the sides will be returning to the venue where they clashed against each other for the first match of the IPL 2023 season. MS Dhoni’s CSK would be hoping to reverse the result from that fixture where they were beaten comprehensively by five wickets. Both the teams decided to have an optional practice session.
MS Dhoni did not turn up for Chennai Super Kings training while Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill and Mohammed Shami preferred to take rest ahead of the final. Ravindra Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane were in focus during the optional training session. The likes of Devon Conway, Matheesha Pathirana, Tushar Deshpande were also seen sweating it out under the lights at the Narendra Modi stadium.
For defending champions Gujarat Titans, all rounder Vijay Shankar and Rahul Tewatia were seen having a knock under the watchful eyes of Coach Ashish Nehra and Gary Kirsten. Sai Sudarshan too was seen turning up for the optional training session.
