Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India captain and the coach of the India team to Sri Lanka; Rahul Dravid has shared a very motivating message for the new faces that have been picked in the 20 member squad.

Dravid, who is widely credited for creating bench strength, has revealed how to give confidence to the youngsters specially who are new in the India set up.

In an interview to ESPNCricinfo’s ‘The Cricket Monthly’ Dravid said, “I tell them upfront, if you come on an A tour with me, you will not leave here without playing a game. I’ve had that personal experience myself as a kid: going on an A tour and not getting an opportunity to play is terrible,”

He added, “It is not easy to do that, so there is no guarantee you’ll get a chance again. So you tell people upfront: this is the best 15 and we are playing them. This is not about the supposed best XI. At U-19, we make five-six changes between games if we can.”

The India team will be led by Shikhar Dhawan with Bhuvneshwar Kumar as his deputy. The team will leave for the island nation on June 28. The entire squad will remain in hard quarantine fore three days until July 1 before being allowed to train.
