Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricketers picked for the tour to England are utilizing the hotel quarantine in the best possible manner by spending more time at the gym. The players after completing the hard quarantine are being allowed to train at the gymnasium of the hotel inside the bubble. Mumbai based cricketers like Ajinkya Rahane, India captain Virat Kohli, Shardul Thakur and Jasprit Bumrah are doing their workout in their room as they are only allowed to join the group after the seven days hard quarantine.

The cricketers are sweating it out in the gym to ensure they are fit and ready to go once they get out of quarantine in England ahead of the World Test Championship final against New Zealand in Southampton. The likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Shubman Gill have been training together in the hotel gym.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has uploaded a video of the gym session on their official twitter handle with a captaion that read: “Getting stronger each day!”

The Indian men and women team will depart for UK on June 2 from Mumbai in a chartered flight. Kohli and his boys will leave for Southampton straight from London Heathrow, where they will quarantine for another 10 days at the Hilton hotel which is adjacent to the Ageas Bowl. The women cricketers will travel to Bristol where they play the only test match against England starting from June 16.

India will take on New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton starting June 18.
