India vs. Pakistan, March 19: The mouth watering battle between the two Asian giants was earlier scheduled to be held at Dharamsala but due to security concerns the match was shifted to Eden Gardens. Pakistan has never lost to India at the Eden Gardens winning all their four one day internationals. India on the other hand has never lost to Pakistan in a major ICC event. In the Asia Cup match last month, Pakistan got bowled out for just 83 runs but Mohammad Amir bowled an impressive spell. Both the countries met each other four times in World T20 with India winning all four of them. Last time the two teams met each other was in Dhaka where Dhoni and his men got the better of Pakistan by 7 wickets. India defeated the arch rivals to clinch the inaugural World T20 title in 2007. Every battle has a inner battle in it and the battle between Virat Kohli and Mohammad Amir is expected to spice it up at the Eden Gardens. While India have Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma , Yuvraj Singh in their ranks. The last time the two teams met against each other was in Australia where Dhoni and his men clinched the series 3-0. Interestingly the Aussies did not field a full strength squad. This time round Steve Smith and his boys will hope to turn things round. Aaron Phangiso’s return will be morale booster for the Proteas. South Africa has a superior track record against England winning five out of nine matches. The last time the two sides met was in February 21 ,2016 where South Africa won by 9 wickets. De Villiers scored a blistering 71 runs off only 29 balls. The Proteas have some big power hitters in AB De Villiers, David Miller, Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis. England has some T20 specialists in Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes and Josh Butler. It will be an interesting duel between Moeen Ali and Imran Tahir. Proteas bowling looks far more superior to England with the potent pace duo of Dale Steyn and Kagiso Rabada. England will rely on the experienced Steven Finn, all rounder David Willey and Ben Stokes. Proteas bowling will definitely have an edge over their Caribbean opponents. Dale Steyn , Chris Morris , Kagiso Rabada , Imran Tahir will definitely add variation compared to Darren Sammy , Andre Russell , Carlos Braithwaite and Jason Holder. The Proteas will definitely hold an edge over West Indies winning six out of the last nine matches. Last time both sides met each other in a T20 match was in Durban where Faf du Plessis and his men defeated the Caribbean by 69 runs. Incidentally it would be a replay of the World Cup final of 2015. New Zealand will be without Brendan McCullum who recently got retired. New Zealand and Australia both have never won the T20 World Cup. Australia have beaten Kiwis in four of the last T20 played. Australia has some great pace bowlers with the likes of Josh Hazlewood, John hastings and Nathan Coulter-Nile. New Zealand has also the necessary firepower in their bowling with the ranks of Adam milne, Tim Southee and Trent Boult With the Dharamsala pitch offering help to the seamers it would be a battle between the two pacers. Mohammad Amir who has been in magnificent form after coming back from the suspension would be looking forward to prove himself. A lack of good quality spinners could hurt the both teams. Australia’s hunt for the World T20 will depend a lot on the inexperienced bowling line up.  Although Australia have a good batting line up but Pakistan lack that power in their batting specially the top order. New Zealand has some power hitters in the likes of Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson and Corey Anderson. The Black Caps will definitely miss Brendon McCullum, who recently retired from International cricket. In the last T20 between this two teams New Zealand got the better of India by 1 run.
