ICC likely to release World Cup 2023 schedule on Tuesday going ahead with India-Pakistan clash at Ahmedabad
Xtra Time Web Desk: The International Cricket Council (ICC) is all set to announce the much-awaited World Cup 2023 schedule in Mumbai on June 27. The ICC is likely to go ahead with the India versus Pakistan clash at Ahmedabad on October 15, without any changes to the draft schedule.
The reason why there will be no changes in the schedule is because Pakistan Cricket Board has not raised any objection about playing in Ahmedabad. According to reports from Pakistan, the PCB has left it to the Government approval for a final decision on any venue. So, the ICC can safely assume that Pakistan has no qualms about playing in Ahmedabad until their government says otherwise.

The question that is bound to arise is what happens if Pakistan Government does not give clearance to any venue.
At this moment the ICC is likely to go ahead with the schedule because there has been a considerable delay already. Any further delay will jeopardise the marketing campaigns, logistics and travel plans for the fans as the World Cup is just 100 days away.
The marquee event kick starts on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium with the final also slated to take place at the same venue on November 19.
