ICC CWC 2019: This former Pakistan pacer surprised to see Md Amir not included in squad

XtraTime Web Desk: Former Pakistan Shoaib Akhtar has strongly criticized Imzamam ul Haq led selection committee for keeping Md Amir out of the 15 member provisional squad for the World Cup in England. The Pakistan selection committee named teenage fast bowling sensation Mohammad Hasnain ahead of Amir.

According to the Rawalpindi Express, the Pakistan team will lack a leader in the pace department. He tweeted, “I still think Amir could be a lethal weapon to have in English conditions. He has a chance to prove that in the England series and be selected for World Cup by May 23rd. Good luck Amir, you can do it.”

“My biggest concern is the pace dept. This squad lacks a leader of the pace attack, leader of the herd who is aggressive and goes out to attack. Hopefully, Amir can be that. In case that doesn’t happen, Hassan Ali has to step up and fill that role along with Junaid Khan,” he added

Mohammad Hasnain has caught the eyes of selectors because of his ability to clock 150kph consistently.
