ICC CWC 2019: Tendulkar warns Kohli & Co ahead of Australia clash

XtraTime Web Desk: Though India won their first game of World Cup 2019 against South Africa easily but legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar feels that Australia match won’t be that easy for the Men in Blue as the Aussies have a balanced squad and they also have confidence in their ability. But despite of that the Master Blaster stated that Virat Kohli & Co have all the ability in them to defeat the Aussies on Sunday.

“All the confidence you have gained from this game (vs South Africa), pack that in your kit back and get to your next game. Australians are going to be a tough team to handle because of the combination and confidence they have at the moment. But I feel Team India have the ammunition to go out and do what is required. But Australia at The Oval, it’s going to be a good game. The pitch has slightly spongy bounce and I think Australians are more used to that. Oval is one pitch where I feel there is a little bit of extra bounce which might favor Australia slightly,” Tendulkar told India Today.

“The Australian attack is a good attack but Indian team is geared to play that attack. We have done well in the past against that bowling attack. Guys will be ready to face them,” Tendulkar added.

As per Tendulkar with the return of David Warner & Steve Smith, Australia look a different team as he lauded the hunger of Warner to score runs after making a return.

“They are a different side (after Smith and Warner’s return). Whatever I saw of David Warner in the IPL, he looked extremely fit and above all he looked determined and motivated to go out there and get runs,” Tendulkar said.

Australia started their ICC World Cup 2019 campaign with a stunning win against Afghanistan and will be looking to continue their red-hot form against West Indies on Thursday before facing Team India on Sunday.
