I League Qualifiers 2020: Mohammedan Sporting sacked Yan Law for these reasons

Xtra Time Web Desk: Mohammedan Sporting Club on Sunday terminated the contract with Head Coach Yan Law. It comes as a surprise as the club had started the campaign of I League Qualifiers 2020 on a positive note, winning back to back matches against Garhwal FC and ARA FC. Law, who has the distinction of becoming the youngest coach in the country to hold a AFC A license degree confirmed the development on social media but the reason he gave was completely different from the club. According to Law, he himself decided to part ways with the club.

However a statement from the club said that the 27 year old coach had been sacked. The statement said the decision was taken following reviews conducted by the Club’s General Secretary Sk. Wasim Akram and the club’s management.  Assistant Coach Saheed Ramon will be in charge of the team for the remaining matches of the I-League qualifier.

But what transpired in getting Law removed from his post. Only a few weeks back the club expressed an air of optimism while appointing him as their Head Coach. It is learnt there are several reasons behind the sacking of Law. According to a club official, Law started believing he was the boss at the club, not listening to any suggestions from the higher officials including football secretary Dipendu Biswas. Another allegation against him was he was forming groups with the team. But the most important reason was his alleged involvement in passing information with other clubs.
