I-League 2018/19: Quess East Bengal play out a stalemate draw against Real Kashmir

Kolkata: Quess East Bengal plays out a 1-1 draw against a combative Real Kashmir FC at the Salt Lake Stadium today.

It was a disappointing first half for both the teams before a mouth-watering second half in action, dominated by the home side.

Real Kashmir took the lead in the 46th minute. Lalramchullova’s own goal gave Real Kashmir the lead. Surchandra sent a cross from the right flank and Chullova accidentally put the ball into his own net.

The Red and Gold brigade crawled back into the game after a delightful spell of football. Jobby Justin equalised for East Bengal with his 6th goal of the competition. Didika curled a corner and Aidara attempted a header. Danish Farooq pulled off a goal-line save but Justin put the ball into the net from the rebound.

East Bengal was denied from a penalty in the second half when Danmawia Ralte was brough down by Kashmir defender in the second half.

The draw keeps both East Bengal and Quess East Bengal in the hunt for the title.
