I-League 2017-18: What is The AIFF saying on Mohun Bagan’s request to play the last game on 8th?

XtraTime Web Desk: Mohun Bagan is now very much in the title race after having a thrilling victory over Churchill Brothers at Goa today. Mohun Bagan officials were pushing in the last few days in the claim to play their last game on the day when the other teams in contention will also play.  According to Mohun Bagan officials after today’s result, the AIFF has sent a mail to them and confirmed that their last game against Gouklam Kerala FC has been shifted from 6th to 8th March. Now all three title deciders will be played on the same day.

Earlier, in an interaction with www.xtratime.in, I-League CEO Sunanda Dhar said, “Yes, this is likely to happen. I told the Mohun Bagan to wait till this game as we wanted to take a call on the consequences of this game and when Mohun Bagan has won it, they will likely to play on the 8th as well. Though we will confirm that with an official announcement.
