According to Imam, who is a senior business development manager working in Central London, “I was going through the news reports how the cyclone Amphan has hit the state on May 20 and caused mass destruction. It is extremely painful to see hundreds of people left homeless and struggling for basic amenities like food and shelter.”
Imam will be running for the next few days in and around London. He started his run from Wednesday, June 03 in local Plashet Park in East Ham which is in East London. He will be running 10kms each day.
According to Bunty, “I have started my running in local Plashet Park here which is 3-4 minutes away from where I stay. I also have plans to run around the Olympic Park and also near River Thames.”

Imam has been involved in a lot of social works in and around his locality (he also ran in the London Marathon 2019 for AGE UK charity and raised over £2000 and also this year he is running Paris Marathon for Cancer Research UK). He is associated with the Hope Foundation UK, where this money raised from charity will go. The Hope Foundation has been working for the street children’s and poor in Kolkata. It is an Ireland based charitable institution founded by Maureen Forrest who visited Kolkata a few years back. He got touched with the plight of the street children. The Hope Foundation UK gets a lot of support from the expatriates settling in UK and Ireland.

“A week back Dr Bhasha Mukherjee, who is a Kolkata born Miss England along with Shashi Tharoor and Reza Beyad showed their support towards the Hope Foundation,” said Imam.
On being asked what motivated him to take such a challenge, Imam said, “I am inspired by Haroon Mota who raised £50000 for the people suffering in Syria, by running 260 kms while fasting during the month of Ramdan. I felt I can also take such a challenge to raise some money for charity.”

Indian origin boy Haroon Mota who lives in Coventry has been appreciated for raising £50000 for the people who are suffering in war stricken Syria. He raised the amount through Penny Appeal.
According to Bunty, “The Hope Foundation’s vision is to create a world that never hurts to be a child. I had a pain in my ankle while running yesterday (Monday). But when I think about the cause and specially to see the sufferings of so many lives, the pain goes away. You know in some way or the other you are going to touch so many lives.”
Bunty has so far raised £1361 by running 60 kms in six days so far. To help Imamul Haque in his endeavour everyone is welcome to donate through this link https://www.totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/..
