XtraTime Web Desk – Two teams with huge fanbases are yet to win a game in this year’s Indian Super League. SC East Bengal were very close to register their first victory but Jeakson Singh spoiled the party to bring home a point for Kerala.

Both the goalkeepers were in terrific form throughout the match. Albino Gomes saved brilliantly in the 9th minute to deny SC East Bengal. Couple of minutes later, in the 11th minute, Costa’s header went just above the crossbar that could’ve been a easy goal if it was on target.

SC East Bengal didn’t have to wait much longer to take a lead as Kone scored an own goal for Md. Rafique’s grounded pass. Kone was helpless, he had tackle to stop the ball but to his horror he scored the goal and gave SC East Bengal the lead in the 13th minute.

The half ended 1-0 in favour of SC East Bengal as both the goalkeepers denied all the chances that their opposition created. In the second half, Kibu Vicuna made 3 changes to fight back into the game. Kone who scored the own goal for the team got a very good chance to equalise but his header just went past the post. 10 mins later it was SC East Bengal who got a chance to score but again Albino Gomes to the rescue. Dived to his left and saved it for his team and kept Kerala into the match. Just like what Debjit Majumdar was doing for SC East Bengal.

In the 71st minute, Debjit saved a clear goalscoring opportunity after diving to his right side in a very short span of time. Murray was surprised to see Debjit saved that shot but his fans once again saw the glimpses of old ‘Savejit’.

He however couldn’t save the match for SC East Bengal. Jeakson Singh scored a goal in the 95th minute and broke the heart of millions of SC East Bengal fans as it’s been one month of ISL but SC East Bengal is yet to win a match.

Kerala rescued a point but both the teams are not in a good position in the league table. For the first time of the season, SC East Bengal jumped a spot as they are now in the 10th position with 2 points from 6 matches while Kerala Blasters managed 3 from 6.
