Xtra Time Web Desk: Lionel Messi is all set to make his much-anticipated return for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer (MLS) after being sidelined for two months due to injury. Head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino confirmed Messi’s availability for their upcoming clash against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday at Chase Stadium, Fort Lauderdale.

Messi has been out of action since July 14, after suffering a right ankle sprain during Argentina’s 2024 Copa América final against Colombia. His absence raised concerns about his fitness and its potential impact on Inter Miami's strong season. However, his return is expected to provide a significant boost as the team continues their impressive form. Despite missing training on Wednesday, September 11, due to a sore throat, Martino reassured fans that the illness was brief.

We are going to once again have the best player in the world within the team so we are all happy about that situation," Martino stated.

Messi resumed training on Thursday and was fully involved in Friday’s session, dispelling any doubts about his readiness for the match.
