Image Source: FIFA[/caption] XtraTime Web Desk: Not quite the revenge of 7-1, but at least a win by Brazil over World Champions Germany. After full time today at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, it was Brazil 1 and Germany 0. Late into the first half a cross by William was headed in by Gabriel Jesus and that in the end was the solitary goal that separated both the sides. After the first half lead, Brazil came all guns blazing in the second half and could have easily scored a couple more had there not been a resilient German defence. Germany too got their chances but failed to capitalise. In the end that was the final score line, a hard fought win for Tite’s men. Image Source: FIFA[/caption] Argentina gets a hammering at the hands of Spain A Isco Calderon hattrick and goals from Diego Costa, Thiago and Aspas was enough as Spain rooted Argentina to 6-1 with Nicolas Otamendi being the lone scorer for the La Albiceleste. It was 2-0 within the first 30 minutes for Spain till Otamendi pulled one back in the 39th minute. But the second half saw a more aggressive Spanish side that meant business from the word go. Isco completed his hat-trick within the 75th minute and it could have been more embarrassing for Argentina had Costa not missed a few sitters. A Messi less Argentina was easy meat for Spain, who proved that on a given day, they can beat any opposition.
