Alwyn George, an Indian International, who ironically plied his trade with Bengaluru FC in this season’s ISL, and was the losing finalist, has been roped in by FC Pune City.

Besides Pune also have made a contract with East Bengal star Nikhil Pujari.

Alwyn who started his football career with Tata Football Academy in 2008, spent four years there and became a professional only in 2012 when he joined Pailan Arrows to play in the I-League.

Alwyn has captained India at the U-19 level and has also played for Goa Giants Dempo Sports Club. He has also represented the country at senior level.

Meanwhile, Mumbai boy, Nikhil Pujari, who started off with Ryan FC in Maharashtra made his debut for East Bengal in 2016, in the Calcutta Football League ( CFL ).

Nikhil has also played for the U-23 India team.

With these two signings, it’s without doubt that FC Pune City will benefit on the field, in future.
