Xtra Time Web Desk: A superb long range drive from Youri Tielemans in the 63rd minute gave Leicester City its maiden FA Cup title, beating Chelsea 1-0 at the Wembley stadium on Saturday night. It was a goal worthy of winning any final as it brought joy to the 6000 odd Leicester fans at the stadium. Ben Chilwell did score the equalizer for the Blues but the goal was ruled out as VAR rightly spotted the Chelsea man had strayed marginally offside in the build-up.

Leicester, who lost key defender Jonny Evans to injury midway through the first half, held on and, 52 years after their last appearance in a FA Cup final, were able to hold the trophy aloft for the first time, adding another remarkable chapter to their story. Brendan Rodgers’ boys have now completed England’s domestic set of trophies, having also won the Premier League in 2015/16 season and three League Cups in 1964, 1997 and 2000.
