XtraTime Correspondent: Right when Iran has been declared as the second most affected nation in the world in the Coronavirus pandemic, the sports-loving people of Kolkata must be in concerns for their beloved Iranian “Badshah” Majid Bishkar. The man who enthralled one and all in the 80’s at Kolkata Maidan with his flamboyant football skills.

When thousands of Iranians are struggling to fight against Covid-19, Majid told XtraTime correspondent via WhatsApp chat that he is safe. He told, “Here in my city it is very hot. There is no need of any mask. Don’t worry, I am fine. You all stay safe.”

The former Iranian playmaker also mentioned, “Here in our country it seems like a jail. Everything is locked down. But safety comes first.”

No wonder, the update on the Badshah will make the football fans of the city relieved a little bit.
