XtraTime Web Desk – Harry Kane and Hueng Min Son are creating magic for Spurs in the Premier League. The duo is the reason behind Tottenham’s success in the recent past.
Facing Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa, every football pundit thought that it won’t be easy for Jose Mourinho and his boys. They proved everyone wrong pretty soon. Tottenham won a penalty in the 27th minute and it’s Harry Kane who scored from the spot-kick. In the 43rd minute, the Kane-Son duo again came into picture. Hueng Min Son scored from Harry Kane assist to wrap the half 2-0 in favour of the Spurs.
Early into the second half, Toby Alderweireld scored and it’s again the Korean who provided the assist. By 50th minute, Spurs were 3-0 up and Leeds were virtually out of the competition. However, with Leeds, it’s never over. They tried their best, played offensive football throughout. They kept possession but just what Mourinho believes, his team got three crucial points and Leeds’ effort goes into vain. Matt Doherty recieved second yellow card in the 92nd minute but it was too late for Leeds to make a comeback.
Spurs are now 3rd in the table. They have 29 points from 16 games. Leeds are at 12th position with 23 points from 17 games.
Arsenal, their rival from London also got their momentum back. They were performing poorly match after match but looks like they’ll finish in a respectable position if they keep this form. Alexandre Lacazette scored a brace, Kieron Tierney and Bukayo Saka two other goals as Arsenal beat West Bromwich Albion 4-0.
Arsenal are now 11th in the table with 23 points from 17 games.
In other matches, Crystal Palace beat Sheffield United by 2-0, Brighton and Wolves drew 3-3.
