EPL: Both Chelsea and Manchester City lose points

XtraTime Web Desk – Even after a very strong start at the campaign, Chelsea failed to keep the momentum on their side. On Tuesday, they lost to Wolves making it their second successive defeat in the Premier League. On the other hand, Manchester City failed to beat West Bromwich Albion who are currently in the relegation zone.

Chelsea started with 4-3-3 with all their main players leaving Hakim Ziyech, who’s out injured. On the other hand, Wolves didn’t have their main man as Raul Jimenez is injured at the moment. The first half ended 0-0 after Kurt Zouma’s attempt hit the top bar to deny Chelsea from taking a lead.

In the second half, Chelsea look the lead early as Oliver Giroud scored the important goal in the 49th minute. Wolves scored the equaliser on 66th minute as Daniel Podence brought them back into level terms. When everyone thought that the match would end 1-1, Pedro Neto scored the winning goal and secured all three points in favour of the Wolves. With this loss, Chelsea slipped to the 5th place as they have 22 points from 13 games.

Manchester City drew 1-1 West Bromwich Albion. Ilkay Gundogan gave City the lead in the 30th minute but they couldn’t secure their lead as Ruben Dias scored an own goal in the 43rd minute to bring the team into level terms. Pep Guardiola brought Sergio Aguero in the 76th minute but the Argentine failed to make a mark as West Bromwich got a very crucial point. City now has 20 points from 12 games.
