EFL announces heavyweight fixtures for the semi finals of the Carabao Cup amidst COVID crisis in England

Xtra Time Web Desk : The Carabao semi-final fixtures are announced and the football fans have got two good fixtures in their hand scheduled early in the January. The four teams that made to the semi—final were Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.


The Gunners defeated Sunderland 5-1 in the quarter-final to reach the semi-final. The Reds defeated Leicester City in close penalty shoot-out to step into the semis. Chelsea locked horns against Brentford, and the blues defeated the Bees quite comfortably by 2-0 scorline.

Lastly, Spurs had a tough job against in-form West Ham United as they defeated the Hammers by 2-1.


Now with all these four Premier League clubs booking their place in the last four of the Carabao Cup, Arsenal will be locking horns against Liverpool in one of the semi-finals. While it is London derby in the second semi-final tie as Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur, with Antonio Conte returning to face his former club for the first time.


The semi-finals will be played in two legs, both the sides playing a home fixture and an away fixture, scheduled on January 4 and January 11. While the final will be staged at Wembley scheduled on February 27.
