Kolkata : Kolkata giants East Bengal will look to improve their record against Bengaluru FC when both sides meet against each other at Barasat on January 30 . While the Red and Gold managed to snatch a victory in it’s first home match against DSK Shivajians , the Blues are coming from a 0-2 loss against Mumbai FC . Both sides regarded as potential title contenders will look to get the better of the other . The Red and Gold  will look to extend their all win record at home vs Bengaluru FC . The Red and Gold have so far won all their 3 home matches against the side from Bengaluru . East Bengal coach Biswajit Bhattacharya is not someone to look back . The Gaffer wants to carry on the winning momentum . Ashley Westwood on the other hand will look to bounce back after their loss in Mumbai . There is an air of arrogance associated with the Brit as he do not give much importance to Indian coaches .

Westwood is not very happy with the form of  Sunil Chhetri as the Indian captain is yet to fire in the I League so far . To make matters worse diminutive striker Robin Singh is out with an injury . Sunil’s team mate in the Indian team Arnab Mondal will have the responsibility to hold the citadel against the Blues . On being asked about his duel with Sunil , Arnab commented,  “ It’s not  a match between Sunil Chhetri and Arnab Mondal . East Bengal will be up against Bengaluru FC . They play a very organized football . So it will not be cakewalk for us ”

Bengaluru FC have been the most consistent team in the last two edition of I league . With the likes of  Eugeneseon Lyngdoh ,CK Vineeth , Sunil Chhetri , Rino Anto , Alwyn George , the Blues look quite balanced on paper . Defenders John Johnson  and  Curtis Osano  have been the pillar of strengths in the defence . With new signing Michael Philip and Korean midfielder Tim Song Young , the Blues will look to set their record straight against East Bengal .

Do Dong Hyun feel confident ahead of their tie against Bengaluru FC . The Korean who won the Man of the Match award in the match against DSK , shared his thoughts about their forthcoming opponent ,“ They are coming into this match after a loss . On the other hand we will be high on confidence after our win against DSK Shivajians .”

Dong who is yet to score in the I League , would look to get his name on the score sheet against the Blues ,“ My aim will be to score against them . I am getting close to scoring but not being able to convert . May be I can score in the next match .”

Ashley Westwood’s men reached the city today morning . East Bengal are currently 2nd in the table with 8 points from 4 matches . A win in the next match will guide them to the top of the table . The kick off  is at 4pm .
