Sehwag had five hundreds to Roots three so. Root finished day three on 60 alongside James Taylor on 24 not out as England took a leathy lead of 261 with more to come. The English bowlers did a brilliant job to to dismiss the mighty South Africa for a paltry 214 but it was root who turned it around to something special. At a time Root was careless while choosing his shots and that led to his downfall  but this time he was more selective with his strokes as he played fluid drives all around the ground.
