Kolkata : Newly promoted Hero I-League outfit DSK Shivajiyan startles Indian football by signing two star foreign performers Douhou Pierre and Zohib Islam Amiri in a quick succession. On the flip side of it, former Mumbai FC defender Chika Wali decides to try his luck in the second division I-League in Dempo colours despite having a fine season for Mumbai FC in the last season.
Douhou Pierre has proven his class time and again over the years and has been a big admirer of the present Shivajiyan Head Coach Derreck Perrera. His signing thus makes no surprise despite lucrative offers from top tier Hero I-League clubs this season. Previously, he was with Salgaocar FC and the continual partnership may provide “gold dusts” for the new Pune outfit.
Zohib Amiri had a injury-pricked last season with Dempo SC but the versatile Afghanistan player has been a top performer over the years. His involvement would certainly make DSK Shivajiyan a force to reckon with.
DSK Shivajiyan is now wondering for a quality defender to finish their foreign quota. But Dudu Omagbemi is also their on their wishlist.
