Image Source: File Pic[/caption]   Kolkata: Besides the rivalry between the two giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan in the forthcoming derby at Siliguri on Saturday, some important individual rivalries will also be highlighted amongst the players of the two clubs. Let us have a look at the five specific individual rivalries amongst the players of the two clubs: Ranti vs Luciano: Ranti Martins , the goal machine for East Bengal is the highest scorer in the I-league with 11 goals from the same no. of matches. East Bengal will depend a lot on Ranti for getting the goals as he is the only prolific striker in the side. Ranti has a total of 3 goals in the derby inclusive all competitions. On the other hand, Luciano has a bit of inexperience in handling the pressure of derby as he has played a single derby in his whole career that too in the first leg of the I-league this ongoing season which was his debut derby match. In that match, Luciano did not look under any pressure as he lead the Mohun Bagan defense with firmness but once Ranti got the better of Luciano and went on to score. This time round, situations have changed a lot. Hope to see a very good fight between the Nigerian and Brazilian. Glen vs Bello: The Trinidadian World cupper Cornell Glen has a 100% goal record in derby playing a single derby till now and scoring a goal too. On the other hand, Bello Rasaq has the experience of playing few more derbies than Glen. Bello was excellent in the first leg at VYBK leading the defense with Arnab Mondal. Glen could only score a single goal in that match that too with a silly error from Bello’s partner Arnab. Supporters from both the clubs will be having huge expectations on these two and a healthy duel is expected. Rehenesh vs Debjit: T.P. Rehenesh who was tremendous in the first leg of the derby for East Bengal under the bars was only once defeated while Debjit who too is in great form for Bagan in almost all the matches this season is called as “Savejit “ by the  Bagan fans. Bagan supporters will be looking at him on Saturday while East Bengal fans will be eyeing at Rehenesh under the bars. Mendy vs Sony: It's not very advisable to get a player to debut in the Derby, especially since this is an unknown territory for Mendy, who has never played in the I-League before. But the defender has extensive playing experience in clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Hull City so he is no stranger to pressure at all. It will be interesting to see how he copes with the pressure of Kolkata Derby compared to the pressure in European leagues. On the other hand, Haitian Sony Norde has been a revelation for the Mariners. He had a significant contribution In Mohun bagan’s I-league triumph last season. Although Sony has failed to score in the derby so far, but still eyes will be on him as he and Katsumi will be in charge of the midfield for Bagan. Jeje vs Rafique: Jeje Lalpekhlua is going through a stupendous form this season since ISL. He has been scoring goals for whichever team he is playing for. With Glen and Jeje upfront, Mohun Bagan will be relying a lot on them and the duo will be putting pressure on East Bengal defense. On the other hand, Mohammed Rafique is the utility footballer for East Bengal. He is being the crisis man for Biswajit and consistently delivering for the team in whatever situations be it.
