Delhi Dynamos rope in Raman Vijayan as asst. coach

Delhi Dynamos FC announced the signing of Raman Vijayan as assistant coach to the first team for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) season. He will also be the Technical Director of the club’s grassroots program. The former Indian striker will work with assistant coach Shakti Chauhan.

Raman played in India’s top division for over a deade with clubs like East Bengal and Dempo. He is one of the two Indian footballers to have finished as top scorer in the National League and was also fondly nicknamed as the “Golden Boy” for his expertise at scoring winners in crucial games.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of Delhi Dynamos, the club’s project for grassroots is in line with my vision for growing football in this beautiful city,” Vijayan said.

“I am not only excited to work with the first team but I am also looking forward to developing the budding footballers of tomorrow,” he added.

Raman completed his AFC A license in 2014 and had previously managed South United club for three years before taking charge at Chennai FC.
