Kolkata: Mohun Bagan goal keeper Debjit Majumder is being called in the in the Indian side in place of T.P. Rehenseh for the World Cup qualifier tie against Turkemenistan on March 29, 2016 in Kochi.

Debjit looked very happy with the news when he came to know about his selection in the Mohun Bagan practice on Tuesday morning. Debjit quoted as saying,” Its a very good feeling for me. A dream come true for me. I will try and give my best for my country as I did for Mohun Bagan. It will be added responsibility on my shoulders.”

Subrata Paul is the only Bengali goalkeeper in the Indian team who is being consistent in the side. Would you like to gather some more knowledge and experience from him? The goalie replied saying,” Yes of course. Its a great opportunity for me. I will and try and gather much more experience from Mistu Da(Subrata Paul).”

Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen looked also happy with Debjit’s selection. The gaffer said,” I am happy with his selection. The way he is playing, he deserves this chance. I believe he will play according to his potential.”
