Kolkata: “My contract with Mohun Bagan is not yet finalised”, says Darryl Duffy. But when asked Duffy about his contract with Mohun Bagan which is spread amongst all media in Kolkata, he said, “I am aware of this signing news.”
Duffy later added, “I saw them announce, but I have not signed yet. I have an offer from them but I have not put the pen on the papers.”
Will you be signing in the next few days? Duffy replied, “I am not sure. I have an offer from them and I am considering it. That’s all.”
Duffy also said that he is not sure that he will be coming this July or not. The Scottish striker added, “I don’t know how to say it differently but I am not sure of my arrival.”
Mohun Bagan finance secretary, Debashis Dutta said, “We had never officially announced that Darryl Duffy is our player. We said that the process is on but is not yet done.”
