ICC CWC 2019: Indian team gets into unwanted controversy with media at Southampton

Debasis Sen, Southampton: Controversy surrounds Team India ahead of the opening match of the ICC World Cup 2019, as media boycotts the media interaction of Virat Kohli’s team two days prior to their first game of the World Cup.

The awaited media became stunned to know the update from the media manager that Team India was sending Deepak Chahar and Avesh Khan for the press meet.

Eventually, both the players are not in the team India squad and will return back to India alongside other seamer Khalil Ahmed.

Realizing the grief, the team media manager promised to request the team management once more for an alternative option.

Unfortunately, when he came back, he announced that the team management had turned down the request and will send nobody.

No doubt, the awaiting media got seriously annoyed with the entire incident and will put the team under pressure.
