From 102°F Fever to Injury Hell: Akash Deep’s Road Back to Cricket

But for seven months he was he was out of cricket due to a recurring lower back stress fracture. In a recent interview Akash revealed that he has played the Ranji Trophy semi final while having a 102°F fever. This has shown how badly he wanted to help Bengal. Then his injury kept him out of 2026 IPL and international cricket which has caused him both a cricketing and financial setback.

Akash has described that his journey to professional cricket was far from easy and he faced financial difficulties, family losses and periods where he felt like giving up on cricket. Akash Deep has described that his performance in Edgbaston became so emotional because he dedicated his contribution to his sister during her chemotherapy.
