Xtra Time Web Desk: India captain Virat Kohli was back training at the nets during the lunch break of the warm-up match against County Select XI in Durham on Wednesday. The Indian captain chose to take some throw downs from Raghu and Nuwan in the middle during the lunch break on Day 2 of the three day practice game against County XI. Durham County tweeted a small video of the Indian captain practicing.
Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and Kohli have been rested for the warm-up game along with Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma. KL Rahul made the most of the opportunity by hitting a wonderful ton to see India post 311 in first innings.
County XI in reply was bundled out for 220 despite a brilliant hundred from Haseeb Hameed who was included in England’s 17 member test squad on Wednesday against India. Hameed’s 246 balls 112 was studded with 13 boundaries.
For India, Umesh was the stand-out bowler as he bowled in short spells and worked up a fair bit of pace with figures of 3/22 in 15 overs. Mohammed Siraj too bowled an impressive spell, picking two wickets for 32 runs,
