Cornell Glen Injured , Set To Miss AFC Cup Match

Kolkata: Mohun Bagan forward Cornell Glen will not be available in the AFC Cup match against Yangon United F.C . Glen has injured his groin against Mumbai FC on Sunday.

Mohun Bagan will travel to Guwahati on Tuesday to play there AFC Cup home match against Yangon United on 16th March. On Sunday they have defeated Mumbai FC 2-0 to maintain their top position in the I-League. Mohun Bagan will miss the services of Sony Norde as he will fly away to join his Haiti team squad after the AFC Cup match who are scheduled to face Panama twice in a gap of five days in 2018 World Cup Qualifiers. The first match will be played on 26th March.

Sony thinks if they managed to win three matches out of remaining five they will be the champion. “If we win three matches out of the five matches we will be the champion. Derby will be very crucial. If we win that match we will be very closer to become the champion. “ The Haitian winger said.

Sanjoy Sen will travel with the team to Aizawl although he can’t sit in the dugouts as he was banned by AIFF. Mohun Bagan will face Aizawl FC on 26th March. “Why shouldn’t I go with the team? is it so that a coach has to seat only at the reserve bench?” Sanjoy Sen added.

On being asked about the suspension by the AIFF the Green and Maroon coach replied,” I have already appealed to the AIFF. Now it’s up to them. I am not thinking about that.”
