Kolkata: Clouds are hovering over Debjit Majumder’s joining the national squad. Debjit has been called in to the national side in place of T.P. Rehenesh for the World Cup qualifier against Turkmenistan on 29th March in Kochi.
Debjit hasn’t got the air tickets as yet. But he was supposed to join the camp by today along with Sunil and Rafique. Now the question is even if he joins the squad, he will have just a solitary day to train with the squad. The former East Bengal keeper has been in sublime form and was a integral part of Mohun Bagan’s I-League triumph in the last season.
Earlier, Bagan officials requested the AIFF to allow him to join after playing the game against Aizawl FC.
