olkata: Chandreyee Hazra shocked third seeded  Yakuba Nilofar of Uzbekistan to move up in the ranking after sixth round Under 18 Girls Category of Asian Youth Chess Championship in Ulaan baatar,Mongolia today. Chandreyee currently has 4 points from six rounds and is behind Than Thui Thien of Vietnam and Urtsaikh of Mongolia with three more rounds to go.

Mitrabha Guha played a solid game with white pieces to hold Nigmatov of Uzbekistan to a draw on the first Board of Under 16 Open category.With this Mitrabha maintains second position with 4.5 points trailing compatriot P Iniyan by half a point.
In the Under 18 Open Category,Rajdeep Sarkar also kept his medal hope alive by drawing with the reigning champion Krishna Teja.
The Seventh Round of the 9 Round Event will be played tomorrow.
