Champions League: Rashford late strike gives United 2-1 win over PSG

Xtra Time Web Desk: A late strike from Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United a 2-1 win over Paris Saint Germain in a Champions League clash at Paris des Princes on Tuesday night. Bruno Fernandes gave the lead for the visitors from a spot kick which was retaken after Keylor Navas had encroached while saving the original effort. PSG drew parity through a own goal from Anthony Martial in the 59th minute. The match was headed for a 1-1 stalemate until the Rashford strike in the 87th minute gave a well deserved 3 points for Solskjaer’s side. The defeat was PSG’s first home defeat in the Champions League group stages since 2004.

In another Champions League clash Barcelona thrashed Ferencvaros 5-1. Lionel Messi (27’ penalty), Ansu Fati (42’), Philip Coutinho (52’), Pedri Gonzalez (82’) and Ousmane Dembele (89’) were on the scoresheet for the Catalans. Pedri and Fati were in record books as it was for the first time in the history of Champions League when two goal scorers were under 18 years age in the same match.
