Champions League: Cristiano Ronaldo scores winner as Manchester United stage a comeback win against Atlanta

Xtra Time Web Desk: Manchester United come from two goals down at half-time to beat Atalanta 3-2 in Champions League Group F match at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Marcus Rashford (53”), Harry Maguire (75”) and Cristiano Ronaldo (81”) scored for United.

Atlanta was 2-0 ahead inside the first 30 minutes with goals from Mario Pasalic and Merih Demiral. The half time score read 2-0 in favour of the Serie E side.

Manchester United came back strongly in the second half as Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire found the target to level the scores withing 15 minutes. It was all set up for a grandstand finish and with time running out, it was that man Ronaldo who provided the finishing touch, heading home to complete what was a sensational comeback from Solskjaer’s side.

Victory sees Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer’s side move to the top of Group F with three matches remaining and it gives them a welcome boost ahead of Sunday’s Premier League encounter with Liverpool.
