CFL 2019: Colado’s brace give East Bengal a crucial win over Kalighat MS

Kolkata: Kolkata giants East Bengal are back to the winning ways as they beat Kalighat MS 4-2 in a crucial Calcutta Football League encounter on Thursday. Red & Gold’s ace midfielder Jaime Santos Colado scored two goals for the home side, another goal was scored by Vidyasagar Singh and last but not the least a shot of Pintu Mahata were deflected after hitting a Kalighat footballer and went straight into the net which was declared as an own goal. For Kalighat the scorers were Tuhin Shikdar & Rahul Kumar Paswan.

Kalighat’s foreign footballer Alaxander was shown the marching orders by the referee in the second half for his poor tackle and they were forced to play with 10 men for the last 23 minutes of the game. With this win East Bengal is currently holding third spot in the points table with 13 points in seven matches.
